Creating Coupons

Creating and sharing coupons can be a great way to drive business to your products and reward customers who follow you on social media or in real life. This guide will walk you through the process of creating a coupon for your store on Oregon Field to Fork.

Step 1: Access Your Vendor Dashboard

1. Log in to your vendor account on Oregon Field to Fork.

2. Navigate to the Vendor Dashboard: Once logged in, click on the “Vendor Dashboard” link found in the footer or at the top menu.

Step 2: Go to the Coupons Section

1. Click “Coupons” on the left-hand sidebar of your dashboard.

2. View Existing Coupons: Here, you can see and edit existing coupons.

3. Add a New Coupon: Click the “Add New Coupon” button in the upper right corner to create a new coupon.

Step 3: Fill Out Coupon Details

• Coupon Title:* This will be the actual coupon code used by customers. For example, instead of “10% Off Tomatoes,” use something like “10OFFTOM” or “TOMA10.”
• Description: Provide a quick description of the discount (e.g., “10% off all tomatoes”).
• Discount Type: Select one of the following options:

• • Percentage discount: For taking a certain percentage off your product(s).
  • Fixed amount discount: For taking a specific dollar amount off your product(s).
• Amount:* Enter the percentage or dollar amount of the discount. Note: You do not need to include the $ or % signs in your entry.
• Email Restrictions: If you want the coupon to be used by a specific person, enter their email address here. Otherwise, leave it blank.
• Usage Limit: Set the maximum number of times the coupon can be used (e.g., it stops working after 10 uses).
• Usage Limit per User: Limit the number of times a single customer can use the coupon.
• Expire Date: Set an expiration date for the coupon to define how long it is valid.
• Exclude Sale Items: Check this box to prevent the coupon from being applied to items already on sale.
• Minimum Amount: Set the minimum order amount required for the coupon to be applicable.
• Product:* Specify which product(s) the coupon applies to. If the coupon applies to all your products, click the “Select All” button.
• Apply to New Products: If you clicked “Select All” previously, you can ensure the coupon also applies to all new products by checking this box.
• Exclude Products: Enter any products you do not want the coupon to be applied to (e.g., wholesale products or items with already low margins).
• Show on Store: Check this box if you want the coupon to be displayed on your store page.

Step 4: Create the Coupon

1. Review the Fields: Ensure all required fields (marked with an asterisk *) are filled out correctly.

2. Click “Create Coupon”: Once you are done, click the “Create Coupon” button to finalize the coupon creation.

Step 5: Share the Coupon

1. Distribute the Coupon Code: Share the coupon code with your customers, audience, friends, family, or anyone else you want to offer the discount to.

2. Promote the Coupon: Use social media, email newsletters, and other marketing channels to promote your coupon and drive traffic to your store.
